Indus River

Indus river is the major South flowing  in South Asia.Indus river is providing water to the people of Pakistan for centuries. Its length is 3180 km (1980 miles). Its water is used for transportation domestic use and industrial uses.Its water is used to fill other rivers too.A number of Aquatic life is found in this river.Its water is used to generate hydroelectric power.Most of its water come from the melting glaciers of Hindu Kush and Karakoram mountains.The system irrigates 60% of Pakistan's 20 million hectares of cultivated land.
